    Shite.

    Totally forgot this was on.

    FUCK.

Not my fault, my gf's mum called from Alabama - she's on her way back to London after a visit home to see family (my gf, not her mum) so we're both watching the web tracking her flight :)

My pishy Freeview dongle isn't receiving BBC4 anyway. Back to Inspector Morse then! I'll Youtube it later this week.

Not a typical show this week. Mainly a fairly serious discussion about TV news, not incredibly funny but it's a topic I find interesting.

If you hold the same contempt as I do for the media, you'll enjoy it.

    I thoroughly enjoyed it.
He was spot on with practically everything.

Charlie Brooker's got a fat arse from sitting down too much and making shit come out of his mouth so he doesn't have to go to the toilet when celebrity's on ice is on.

You have no idea how much I hate the media (especially the TV cretins), seriously. :p

It's pretty up-to-date too. Naturally the main talking points are the advance of TV news from boring man behind a boring desk with a boring background to it being the epileptic fit inducing lightshow it is today, backed up with examples such as Northern Rock, MADDIE, and BREAKING NEWS.

Some pretty funny clips in there too from the rolling news channels, especially the one with the 'expert' about Iran.

"Did they just wake this guy up and drag him in from a street doorway?"

Enjoyed the clip from Sky where the presenter totally fumbled over her words before announcing that Harold Pinter had died. Followed by more fumbling and mumbling, then saying, oh no sorry, he has just won the Nobel Prize in Literature.

    NORTHERN ROCKY
  • Deleted user 9 October 2007 22:53:38
You know what this was missing? Richard Quest.
  • Deleted user 9 October 2007 22:54:45
    I like Ryan SeaQuest.
  • Deleted user 9 October 2007 22:57:45
Despite it being missing Quest, it has O'Reilly in that infamous 'interview' with the guy whose dad was killed on 9/11.

I was hoping for a little section showing how ridiculous and melodramatic these anchor shows can be on US news channels, using O'Reilly and Olbermann as an example but ho hum.

What's the deal with him and Aisleyne from last year's Big Brother? She was in the last series as a guest and now she's always in this current series in the sketches with brooker? Is she his Girlfriend now?
They're mates. He said in one of his Guardian columns that, inexplicably, they'd become friends. I think he is as confused as anyone else!

That's right, heh. He actually did mean to punch the comic sans person. ;)

And the bloke wearing the flat cap :)

I like his constant pimping of whatsisnames documentaries aswell.

Heh. She seems like a pretty cool woman to be honest. I liked her in BB. Good luck to him.

This was the girl who was a wigger in her audition video, only develop a plum in her mouth during the show? The one who cried when they showed the rest of the house her audition video. The one for whom "keeping it real", meant actually being a fake?

Well I didn't forget Screen Wipe was on last night, for a change, however I did forget to watch it after I'd set the DVR as I was playing PGR4.

Will watch tonight, it's one of the highlights of the week.
