Looks excellent, I was wondering if there really was anything other than Mario and Metriod to look forward to, this has pretty much convinced me not to put my Wii on Ebay.

Brilliant news as, great concept though it is, with the lack of fanfare around it it felt like it could have been a 6 or 7 game.

Which game aspect do the 10/8/9/8 scores relate to with Famitsu?

And it takes a really good game to achieve such a high rating in Famitsu. Looking forward to it!

    Endless Ocean - 10/8/9/8

    Endless Ocean review tidbits
    - feels a little like a simulation, exploring areas gradually
    - clever production sucks you in totally
    - with the change of camera view, you can get lost at sea
    - you can explore the aquatic life as much as you want or you can go looking for events
    - there’s lots of stuff you can do, play at your own pace
    - production is great, you can feel the mystery and magnificence of the ocean

    Oh frackin' 'ackin' H-A-L-L-E-L-U-J-A-H!

Am now seriously looking forward to this.

Great news. I've been hoping the best/fearing the worst, but it sounds like they've nailed the mixture of having things to do it you want, pootling around look at fishes if you don't.

Wow, I was probably gonna buy this game as a "chill out" piece of media to have a Zoot with. Shocked it's actually looking like a good game to boot and will definately get when and if it comes out here.

God I wish Datel would get a Freeloader out for the Wii...it's been so long now I'm thinking Nintendo did too good a job with the region locking.

I really, really want a Pokémon Snap style experience to be brought forward into today - that game kicks ass. If getting to photograph fish in this game reminds people of it and gets it done, then I'll be happy. Sounds good anyway.

Love it in life and in games. My ideal day doesn't involve bungy-jumping or driving fast cars. I just like to go for a bit of wander, have a pint while catching up with a friend, organise my DVD collection, water the plants and read the paper.

That sounds worryingly similar to what I like doing (although I do drive a fast car).

I like both of them, but I think I prefer Forever Blue to be honest.

Forever Blue sounds like its about someone with chronic depression.

That said, Endless Ocean sounds like the 'adventures' of someone stuck on a liferaft in the middle of the Atlantic.

What's wrong with Super Dive-Dive Aqualung or something?

I like where you're going with that. It'll probably be called 'Super happy mega fun diving simulation happy fun super happy fun game' in Japan anyway.

Could it have been by Namco? You swam on an underwater missile/vehicle/tube thingy and shot baddies or something like that?

Think it was actually. You could definately "fire" stuff at predatory fish but you also had to discover wrecks etc. I brought it for something to chill out to but it turned into a pretty stressfull affair.

Ahhh, it was called Treasure of The Deep and was by Namco - Bandai.

Think they did a sequel too.

Might have been posted before but worth watching again!

    Foh-eh-buah Buru

Shows an underwater building, some dark areas with a scary fish shaped surprise and there are a couple of wiimote box outs demonstrating the fish masturbation technique some of us (OK, me) have been so looking forward to. Nice ripply surface water with the light being refracted down onto the fish/turtles/penguins below too.
