Lose Yourself to Dance won't stop playing in my head. Loving the arrangement on Motherboard. |

Registered 14 years agoBeen listening to the Tron Legacy soundtrack on the way home. It's magnificent.
A couple of tracks wouldn't go amiss on a side-scrolling shooter. They should do the game soundtrack or the new Flashback. -
Didn't get on with the Tron soundtrack. -

Registered 13 years agoTwo tracks in on Spotify. Give Life Back to Music was solid but not special. Very listenable though.
The Game of Love is raping my ears though. -

Quite easily the worse song on their new album along with Touch, which is a very marmite track.

Registered 10 years agoI love Touch (and i hate Marmite).
Current favourite track is Doin' It Right (and I hate Panda Bear, usually..)
Pitchfork's review is up, 8.8 / 10 and a 'Best New Music'. I have to say, that's 1.2 lower than I thought they'd give it.

Registered 14 years agoI thought Game of Love was alright to be honest. Touch is only one I'm not sure about.
All in all it's the Buck Rogers disco scene in full album form, including a few slow numbers for the space laydeez. -

Registered 12 years agoI found I couldn't really judge a track in isolation until I'd been through the lot a couple of times. Game of Love now sounds ace to me as I know what's coming and how it fits, same with Touch. -

Registered 14 years agoBest thing about it is that rather than just being a collection of random tunes, it's a proper album that goes somewhere. Contact is an awesome closer. -

Registered 13 years agoIt was a bit all over the place for my tastes. May get better with repeated listening, but on first listen it's that for me. -
I've listened to this album so many fucking times now. Genius stuff.
In other news, the fifteen minute thing that QOTSA released of 5 songs from their upcoming album is fucking sublime.

Beyond 6/10
Motherboard 7/10
Fragments of Time 7/10
Doin' it Right 6/10
Contact Idon'tgetitatall/10
Overall a 7 on first listen as an album. Needs another 2-3 listens, but a solid start. I don't think I'm going to 'get' Contact though. -

Registered 13 years agoJust started listening to Tron Legacy: Reconfigured. The first track, Derezzed, is surprisingly good.
Actually four tracks in and they're all great mixes. I thought it would be utter shite. Great album thus far.

The more I listen to this, the more I'm coming to the conclusion that the Pharrell tracks are ace and the rest of it is distinctly average. -

Registered 10 years agoSecond listen and RMA makes much more sense to me today.
The final two tracks (Doin' It Right and Contact) are absolutely brilliant. Strong end to the album to my ears -
The drums + bass guitar on almost every track is jaw-dropping.
