And quite hot. -
Well, that's not a suprise.
I thought Shia acquit himself quite well in the first, it'd be nice to see him continue the franchise IF Lucas can reign his stupidity in. But I doubt it. -
Ah, I notice Spielberg is scripting. Hopefully Lucas this time just leaves him be, the evidently Spielberg moments were better than the shite obvious Lucas additions in 4.
(incidentally, I enjoy 4, even if it's very, very silly) -

Assuming Ford isn't in it, it at least has a hope, but tbh I've always been of the view that Raiders is the only really good one anyway. -

Harrison Ford made Indy what it was. He's now almost dead, so let it go with him.
That LeBeouf chump can fuck right off. -
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
a sneak peak of the script there -
Would we be having this conversation if Tom Selleck had accepted the part originally? -

+1
Without Ford it's just a cold war action movie. -
Would you have that username if Neil Diamond had played Superman? -

Yeah, but he was never offered it.
On a similar note, did you know that Molly Ringwold turned down the Accused, Pretty Woman and Ghost?
Sack that agent Molly. -

Registered 18 years agoI want to see it. First half and hour or so of Indy 4 was good stuff, rest was rubbish. Bring it back Spielberg and let it go out on a high. -

What about Jon Voigt?
...
I have no actual point here, just wanted to make people think of Neil Diamond convincing the Salkinds to let him play Supes, rather than them ignoring his request entirely. -
Have you read Superman Vs Hollywood Gremmi? -
Nope. -
Hmm, I've read what's on Google books but I really want the actual thing.
You should check it out on Google books, it's excellent. -

What it actually says is Hi, I'm a knob and can't decide if my fictional universe should contain gods or aliens. That said, he already had the Hebrew God Tetragrammaton and (In a more implied sense) the Hindu god Shiva...
Well, I ended up watching a documentary on the actual Crystal Skulls and it seems like the myth is lifted entirely from that... right down to the "its some sort of alien sculpture handed down to the Mayans by the aliens thing". Some couple used to ferry it around to new age festivals and such, with the belief of mystical powers etc.
Eventually it came to light that it was (a very good) human made sculpture.
So that + typical Indy ending of omg God/Holy Stones have mystical power/cup makes us immortal is pretty much how the film turned out.
What they DO need to do is not go down the entire WETA path of dumping in CGI and colour amending/correcting each frame of film. Go back to the old style of making it of traditional effects and filming.
I found the fridge thing amusing too. I mean that, and what, jumping out of a plane on an inflatable boat? Comic book stuff. -

Registered 17 years agoAye, I don't mind the alien thing with the crystal skulls... it just seems that if they're doing the aliens thing then having a Hebrew God _and_ Shiva in the same fictional universe is a bit confusing.
Esp. as the Hebrew God says he's the only one. Does that mean they're calling their own God a liar?

I believe the actual quote is "thou shalt have no other Gods but/before me."
