Registered 8 years agoI picked up Civ Revolution a couple of weeks back, and am really enjoying it at the moment, and fancy something else similar as a lightweight strategy type game when I don't fancy shooting anything in the face.
I've already played Kingdom for Keflings, Plants v Zombies, and Ancient Trader (XBLIG), which I've enjoyed, as well as Defense Grid, which I was less keen on.
Don't particularly fancy any of the board game conversions, as I play board games face to face pretty regularly anyway, so I've pretty much narrowed it down to a Viva Pinata or Tropico 3.
Anyone have any other suggestions, or any particular recommendations on which Viva Pinata is better? -

Registered 8 years agotried the demo for Darwinia twice, and it hasn't grabbed me either time. Shame, as I feel I should like it.
Any real difference between the two Viva Pinata games? -

Registered 7 years agoAnybody else pick this up in the recent sale? I've been trying to find this on the cheap for ages so £4-£5 was a steal. -

Registered 12 years agoI bought this, played it last night, seems to be good. I played on easy, and it was easy... But still took ages to complete the game! Quite fun, will give it another go tonight.
Considering it was less than a fiver, can't complain. -

It's great game but easy mode is no challenge and a bit dull really. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah, I'd never played it before so thought it was a tutorial... Didn't realise it was a proper match.
Will play again tonight on a more difficult mode. Although it was fun bombing all the other armies when they only had archers to defend. -

Registered 6 years ago@Sunno - If it's still there I'll pick it up at the end o' the month, kinda skint after the events of the past few weeks! Oh, and I just walked back to Newhaven from Brighton, the bus stopped at the hospital. 8 miles in the snow in my work clothes and a hoody. Oops. Won't be doing that again in a hurry -
Completed this last night in three hours. I assumed it would take ages but three hours worked well for me. I was the Greeks and won through culture.
It is funny, I finished in 1996 with medieval units but a space station travelling into space with the u.n. building???????????? It was bizarre, horse and cart etc but had NASA. Only had to fight twice, once with Mongolia and they asked for peace after I crushed them in one fight and the Germans declared war on me (who would of guessed) and for them I paid the Arabs and the Russians (who were either side of them) to go to war with them.
Good fun, will definitely play again on next difficulty, I played first go on the second difficulty.
