| Haha, no I was kidding. It's always frustrating when you come up with an idea only to see it being used elsewhere, it has to be said! |

Registered 17 years agoAhhhh, watching it again, the turning seems ok actually.
Impressive. If they match that atmosphere throughout, it'll be absolutely awesome. -

Registered 15 years agoI've been waiting a long time to see this in action and I'm really relieved at how good it looks. I can't wait for this, and I love the design of the main character. -

Registered 16 years agoThe piano riff in the trailer is highly recognisable, but the song is on the tip of my mind. Im not completley sure but i think its the vocal chords of WestLife - Us against the World
(p.s. i dont particularly like westlife

Registered 17 years agoSo Derbs is Gamestm correct in saying that DICE and EA wont say who made the music?
That it might be a big reveal or something? -
Just finished watching the vid : BLOODY FUCKING GREAT MUSIC.
The artwork seems beautiful, let's hope that the gameplay will be implemented in a good fashion too.
One thing though guys : Don't you find it "funny" when people find this game "original" and "great" ?
For the "original" part, it just looks like prince of persia/Ass. Creed (regarding the platforming elements) in first person view.
For the "great" part, Namco's Breakdown introduced this whole "first person sickness inducing view" ages ago, but noooooooo, Breakdown was "shitty" (i found it to be a fantastic game).
It's the typical case lads of "taking others's ideas, making them ours".
Please don't trash me for stating my opinion, i lovez ya allz ! -

Registered 17 years agoI don't think its anything like Breakdown. At all.
In fact I think its like comparing Operation Winback or Kill.Switch to Gears of War, i.e. Its missing the point completely.
Breakdown was a first person fighting game, and it will control and play nothing like Mirror's Edge.
The Trailer is available in HD from Gametrailers now. -

Mate, i didn't say that M.E looks like Breakdown,i just stated the similarity regarding both games' s user view (as to how it's used).
And Katzen, Gears owes a lot to Killswitch !
Anyway, i am interested in this, mostly due to its aesthetic - when is it out lads?
PS: the main character is also fantastic - very minimal/simple yet very characteristic (due to the star tattoo around the eye).
Good looking girl too

Registered 14 years agoIncidentally, has anyone done any of the 'Gamers Instinct' surveys? I get invited to them through my spam mail account but I think it's a referral from one of the gaming sites I use. Mirror's Edge got a few pages of questions dedicated to it. Incidentally I felt the cover art they chose was a bit rubbish. -
How badly does this game want to be in the cool kids club, eh? With its almost flat-shaded visuals and plinky plonky piano music - I really hope the controls and gameplay back up the promise 'cos frankly from that trailer it looks bleedin' fantastic.
Oh, and I also hope they manage to do what Ubisoft completely failed to do with both PoP and Assassin's Creed - which is to actually have enough faith just in the climbing and exploration side of the game to not swamp it with combat every thirty bloody seconds.
Looks good, anyway. -

I getcha now. Its actually alot like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic in that respect, that too went for the Full Body First Person style and it worked really well. Well up to a point. -

Registered 15 years agoI'm really excited about this game. The trailer is wonderful. I love the minimalist colour scheme along with the music that create such a wonderful atmosphere. Love the fluttering flags, also. And what a great change it all makes to grey and brown games we see so often... not that I really have anything against brown and grey games. Some of my best friends are brown and grey! I think ( HOPE ) this game is going to rock and be a reason for people to invest in a PS3.
Just one more small thing. I remember reading a SF short story I think was called "Peaches" which was basically very similar to this game world. I wonder if they read same story and were inspired by it. -
