I don't have a US Wii and I rarely write reviews anyway. Is groovmeister with his fancy foreign Wii here?

    tried this?

But the manufacturers minimum age is six. Anyone even a day under six would take the blunted knives and head to the street and hang out on street corners murdering grannies. Do you not read the tabloids?!!

EG review is up and positive.

Far and away the best original IP on the Wii, Zack & Wiki is a compelling reason to own this console. Its superb puzzle design and ingenious mix of humour, cleverness and the occasional bout of trial-and-error recall the best adventure games in history, and yet its gorgeous cartoonish looks and innovative control make it refreshingly modern. And unlike most Wii games, the novelty and appeal of the control system stays beguilingly strong the entire way through.

/still, I can't help but wonder what McCarthy would have said

Seemed a very positive review there - if anything it sounded to me like a 9-10/10.

Great review and I'm surprised they didn't score it 9/10, but it doesn't matter as I'm sooo getting this day of release!

Hopefully it'll sell loads, other titles of it's calibre will be released and all will be good with the world.

    /doesn't believe it'll sell at all :(((

I was just about post the same thing. The review makes me so sad as I won't get to play the game until next year.

    +1

8 is a good score but that sounded like at least a 9...

Got to agree, the score surprised me a bit as well. The review sounds pretty enthusiastic.

    heh. I've pre-ordered on Gamespot.

How did the EG reviewer get his copy so early? It's not an import review so how?

Anyway, I'm gonna email him and ask him for it! :)

The game's been finished a while ago and only delayed because of the pre-Christmas rush, maybe that's got something to do with it.

Yep same here. Can't wait for this one, The Wii seems to be coming into its stride.

That's what I thought. Anyway, I've sent him an message so hopefully I'll get it and gloat.

I'm not sure if he's legally allowed to give/sell it to me though.

Damn, why did they delay this! This would have been great for Christmas day/evening. I agree as well, that review sounds more like a 10 or a 9 at the very least, not that it matters like.

As I was reading it, I thought it had 9, or even 10 written all over it. There seemed to be hardly any criticism at all, so why did it only get an 8?

Can't wait for this - it should be the perfect antidote to the depression of completing Mario Galaxy :)

It's a glowing review and let's be honest, 8/10 is supposed to be a glowing score. I'm glad that someone can stand up against bloated scores.

It reads like a 4/5 to me.

So, a brand new quirky ip from a third party dev that is supposedly really good (best game ever) and makes fabulous use of the Wii remote.

    About time

Too bad it's not selling too well.

I actually had no interest in this til I saw the review, and I agree it read like a ten or 9. I think I will certainly pick this up whenever its out (Haven't played my Wii in about 6 months, this and SMG are likely to tempt me back in).
