    @johnlenham:
Still stuck there!...But I'll figure it out... :)
Just a quick question though, if you send one of the fireballs rolling into the lava will the level become unsolveable?

    @Der_tolle_emil:
    Really great game...

This spoiler tag is getting out of hand! I refer back to the referred poster, and they're spoilered out, replying to a previous spoiler about an unknown area. We need descriptors for the type of spoilers people! :)

(and surely spoilering technique for the rhythm game is akin to hiding the reply to "Which button do I press to make him jump?")

But if you can't beat them...

I've completed the first area. The game imo is a little overrated, it's fun to play but not what I was looking for. Maybe I'll come back to it in a few weeks. I just find the whole thing a bit of chore at the moment.

Thing about a spoiler thread is I'm afraid to enter and find someone using all CAPS to say stuff like:
"OMG! WIKI IS ZACK'S FATHER! ROFL!"

OK, so better spoiler tag descriptions then...

Can you guess who turns out to be Zack's father?:

But they could do that here and spoiler-coat it.

You'd still roll your mouse over it anyway.

True. But then you've only got yourself to blame!

Finally cracked that "dead dragon through a rock" lava-level...

Took me a long while, but it feels very satisfying...!

Agreed, that's a very satisfying level, despite the tennis

Loving this game - my only complaint is that it is quite short. Maybe that's my own fault for storming through it over the weekend. I got stuck on one bit the ghost paintings, so I took a break, came back and it figured it out (then kicked myself for not thinking of it before).

FFS, there's loads to do once the main quest is beaten. Beating it is only half the game!

I know, and it's only a minor complaint, I'm not "done" with it yet, I'll just miss not having new puzzle levels to play (unless there's a way to unlock more that I'm not aware of yet).

I've finally seen a commercial! It was during some anime show, right after a trailer for a new Naruto game.

It would have made me buy the game, if it weren't sitting on my shelf already. Good, relatively long gameplay sequences. Let's hope it works on others, too.

    HELP!

That's where you're going wrong. It's not the flute that you need to play, it's the pink oboe. You did get the pink oboe, right?

Then you don't seem to do it right. IIRC the last diagram tells you to hold d-pad bottom left (=towards you and to the left) and 1 and 2 simultaneously, f.ex.. And top to bottom is the correct order.

^this. I'm sorry. Just copy the button pushes on the sign, top to bottom/

Mine finally arrived today! Just finished the first
'boss' level with the big monkey
    - fantastic so far!

This is what I bought a Wii for, I love the sports games and can't wait for Sega Superstars Tennis and We Love Golf but sometimes you don't want to play something as vigorous as that and games like Zack and Wiki and Super Mario Galaxy show that Wii games can be good, with inventive use of the Wii remote, without you having to jump about like a loony!

In terms of Wii remote usage Zack and Wiki wins hands down over Galaxy for inventiveness but then it's a different type of game, I don't know which one I prefer yet as I haven't played Z+W enough to compare the two however I do think Z+W is more my style of game - I've never been that fond of 3D platformers.

Anyway...didn't mean to start comparing Z+W with Galaxy, just happened...... in short I'm loving it so far and can't wait to see what level 2 brings!

Edited - put spoiler tags over the only thing I could see that might be considered a spoiler - surely doesn't give too much away?

Anyway...off to play some more Z+W.....

Am I the only person finding the controls horrifically mistake laden? I keep screwing up thanks to Wiimote Wobble. Died twice to the little furry fuckers thanks to it.

Not entirely convinced by this yet. It's extremely charming, but it's beginning to wear slightly thin. The trial and error nature of things is most frustrating.

I'll try again tomorrow when I'm calmer.

When you have to winch yourself across? Nope, works fine both backward and forward. Most likely you're doing something a bit off, motor controls are different from person to person.

I've found very little trial and error so far as long as one actually thinks, with one or two exceptions.
Love that it's actually possible to fail.

I found when I was got back onto the cart from the flaming treasure chest area that I had to hold the remote perfectly still otherwise the game took any motion at all to be winching and I'd shoot out in front of the gremlins and get killed.

Well, I'm enjoying it again! Had a sleep and played it again this morning and figured out what to do. The fact that you can fail makes working it out all the more satisfying.

The bloody skeleton jukebox is fucking balls though.

I think I am going to get this today. I just can't stand all the spoiler tags here, I want to know what you guys are writing and it seems like the only way to do this is by buying the game.

Unless they have Umbrella Chronicles or Geometry Wars much cheaper as I want those two as well.

    Agreed.
In an otherwise very good game the skeleton thing is a horrible abomination. Especially as you 'beat' it all over again when you fail the level. Grrrr...

The music and sound effects have to be the most annoying I've heard in a game for a while. Once the volume is turned down it is a pretty good game though. Nearly finished the ice levels, anyone know how long the game is?

A free 2 level demo available in Woolworths (in the UK) or something would sell this a treat.

    Seriously.

That's a good point, and it's also occurred to some other people at Capcom and Nintendo UK. I think there are moves afoot, although I don't know for sure it will see the light of day.

The game was out on the 18th if I remember right, so how's about I give it two weeks, to Friday the 1st, then pick people to send T-shirts to?
