Stay clean for a little while longer. There's bound to be a price cut before the end of year and there should be actual games out by then, not just mere rumours.

The worry is they might bring their online side up to 2002 standards with the big summer release, Firmware Update 3.0, but it should still be archaic enough for a chuckle or two.

I'd agree with that. If you get one now you'll feel soiled by the experience of having it sit in the box for six months wondering why you bothered. I know I do.

Still, there's always Animal Crossing to distract me. And it really is distracting me, to the point where I still haven't got round to watching the latest episode of Mad Men.

Don't get me wrong, Steify. I do like the system. I've got a massive 4 games for it.

Nintendoland has some pretty good ideas I think. ZombieU was too scary and I had to switch it off. I also picked up Sonic Racing and Assassin's Creed 3 for �8 each. They're OK, nothing special. The problem I think is that I expected more from it by now. There isn't really anything I wouldn't rather play via Steam on PC.

It's got a lot of potential, Pikmin looks like it might be quite good and I'm sure by the time MK comes out, it'll all be fine.

There was the same problem with the 3DS, the first 9 months were dire in terms of what could be got for it.

I'll be getting a Wii U after I win in Vegas. They'll be �20 by September, won't they?

So Vegas is now booked and the dates are confirmed as 31st August - 7th September. Managed to get a decent hotel (Venetian) and flight for just under a grand.

Also managed to snag tickets to The Book of Mormon, sadly won't see it until 12th October.

So, if there is a meet up ideally it'll be between those dates.

You're playing Animal Crossing when an actual new game has dropped for the U? You don't want to get too far behind on that front given that there's set to be a cavalcade of releases any time now. You'll never catch up with it all no matter how much ale you sample.

In other news, my dessicated console has been fed Pikmin 3 and is showing faint signs of life. It's certainly the best fruit scavenging game I've played this year and well worth the �24.69 I wantonly splashed out on it.

I'm going to see how much a WiiU is Murica and bring it back. Nintendo wouldn't do anything as silly as region locking, would they?

Hmm, about Pikmin. I did buy it on Friday. Yes yes, it looks gorgeous, lovely, blah blah etc. Played it for about an hour but all I was thinking was I must get back to town to water those flowers and do a spot of fishing.

When I spotted a fruit I was thinking yes, I should go harvest my oranges and plant those persimmons. When I spotted a bug on a flower I just wished I had a net to smother it.

AC has me in it's grip. I just don't see it releasing me any time soon.

I'll get around to it eventually. There really is no hurry though, despite the avalanche of quality games evidently due for release on that most U of consoles. Any time now. Soon. In the near future. Please understand. Released a year too early and three years too late. That's quite a feat.

Not long until the next Mario Kart as well. Just a shame they didn't get their fingers out and release it as part of a bundle in time for a national holiday. At a competitive price, of course.

You're doing a skydive in the desert Jono? Make sure to wear your phone strapped to your forehead set to record video so we can all witness this.

I'm scared of heights and even the thought of jumping out of an aircraft makes me flee in terror. Full audio commentary is therefore a must.

It's 2013, that backwards thinking, anti-consumer approach died out years ago. Nobody would be so boneheaded as to keep it going today. Having said that, you're unlikely to be able to beat the �150 it's available for over here. However if you wait, just a little while, as Squadron Leader has indicated, a competitively priced bundle may well be winging it's way to the one shelf left at retail reserved for the U. They'd also have to release MK 4 months early, but that's a minor point.

I also concur with Thingy, full HD sound and video is mandatory for the jump.

Jono, if you get a chance, I highly recommend heading over to the Rio hotel in Las Vegas and going to the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub. It ain't cheap, but the view from the rooftop bar is pretty special.

It's my las full day in Las Vegas and while it's a balmy 36 degrees outside, I've managed to get a cold.

Having an amazing time and haven't been able to fit everything in and I'm actually up in my gambling!

Did the skydive and pics and vids will be available when I return.

Just had a go on this. 50cc and 100 were too easy so went for 150cc.

Is the whole point of the game to simply drive around in first place for 1.5 laps then get hit by a blue shell, red shell, another blue shell and someone in last place with invincibility, then get hit by everything as you make your way back to the front?

Sonic Transformed may have some slightly cheaty AI speed but fuck me this game is unfair.
