For a moment, with that ad of the girl in her underwear walking onscreen, I thought Nintendo were trying a new advertising approach.

Just before the actual game clip kicks in - it's for Nicotine stuff or something.

The game might be good but the person demonstrating doesn't seem to be putting much into it - I think I would get bored quickly if that's all the effort required to play it well.

    Quality.

Wii Fit is going to be MASSIVELY popular and that video shows that it opens a whole range of other applications as well.

True, but the same can be said of Wii Sports - you could just sit on your arse and play it, but that is missing the point. I played baseball the other night and I was swinging so fiercly that I almost dislocated my shoulder.

I assume the same will aplly to Wii Fit. You could stand on the board and barely move like a miserable fucker, but I imagine most people will get into it and move around like a loon.

I was being sarcastic about the X-TREME-ness, by the way. It needs to rock, more.

EA Sports Big, get on it.

But that would make all games currently available boring. Or are you talking from a fitness point of view?

A bit of both - with a traditional controller I can at least convince myself that pressing a button harder has more effect but if such mild movements are enough to play the game well then using the board would be a bit pointless to me. It might as well just use a normal controller if it doesn't give some sort of reward for extra effort.

I guess it depends on how stable and responsive the board is. Fitness is a slight factor too.

It's going to make the Wii sell like hotcakes, even if it isn't that good.

I though you made some elaborate "All joggers a cockwaving pervs" joke. That jogging sim looks surreal. Can't wait to try it out.

(Bet the downstairs neighbours can however)

He wasn't jogging on it (my initial thought was that I would snap it), he had a wiimote stuffed in his pocket. So no naked jogging.

    Only for fat people though.

The weight limit is 300lbs (136 kg) in japan. They might be increasing it for america though. I think thats around 21.5 stone.

I don't think it was ever given a release date. Q1 2008 is what it looks like atm.
