Is it just me or does this line:

"We've loved having Dirk on the channel but the licence fee freeze means less British drama on BBC4," said a BBC spokeswoman.
make you want to punch her in the face?

@Blerk Yes. Given the utter shitty drivel they'll continue to run year after year despite the freeze. Yes.

Well at least The Voice is coming back for a new series...

Any word on Eastenders being cancelled? That'd be some consolation.

They could have put it on BBC1 where it deserves to be...money-counting bastards!

If they need to save money they could just cancel all of BBC3. That'd save a few quid.

The Fades winning a BAFTA not long after it had been cancelled was quite the achievement for the BBC drama department.

And they could make a few more quid selling Russell Howards body parts, though I doubt they will find a funny bone.

That's a trailer from 2012 for the BBC Four series. I think we're aiming for this one:

    Yah, that's better, thanks.

Doesn't look like anything from the pen of Mr Adams to me, but then I wasn't all that keen on the British production, which didn't match my recollection of the books.

Looks really awful. I liked the previous attempt. It wasn't wholly accurate but i felt like it captured the spirit of the original books.

Been watching this on Netflix. I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far.
I do have to confess, I never read the book(s?), so I'm not attached to the character or the story in any way.
