I hope you have a soup cooker. Tasteless swill otherwise.

To make matters worse I am daydreaming of visiting this place

    Steakhouse half an hour away

The steak would be awesome but not sure I could resist those starchy potatoes after 6 months of no potato!

The good news is that the potato won't kill you.

I just had a few blueberries and they tasted so sweet and overpowering with taste that I am wondering how we ever got to the point as a species where we decided adding sugar to things was even necessary

That's why I stick to Terry's Chocolate Oranges rather than the citrus ones that are full of fructose.

Did my first workout today after around 10 days off as I had a really shitty cold that I couldn't shift. Stronglifts app suggested a 10 percent de-load as it had been a while and I thought it unnecessary but swallowed my pride and did it. Fucking hell the Dom's today are brutal, my legs hurt like it's the first day they have done anything so God knows what they would have been like had I not.

Looking at my history Iíve been on about 60-70g of sugar per day on average including fruit the last 2.5 weeks.

Dunno if thatís good or bad.

I seem to average about 80g-100g... but I should also note that most of it comes from gels when I'm doing long training rides.

Wooo 2.5lbs lost this week! No pizza or lahore probably did the trick.

That puts me at my lightest weight since April 2017.

Tempted to keep going for another 2-3 weeks and try and hit 11st/70kg.

Also been getting a touch more sleep recently as the kids have been sleeping till 5.30 instead of 4.30 (except last night where the youngest was up at 12. 1.30, 2.45 and 5.30), so for the first time in about 4 years, or as long as i can recall, i've done weights 4 times in 7 days.

It hasn't been THAT hard. A few instances of extreme willpower have been required, but when you know it'll ruin all your hard work it makes it a bit easier.

First day back in the gym for me this morning, after about 4 months away. Got up at 5:30, in the gym at 6:20 with a Monster, and struggled with squats and bench.

I feel tired, weak, and uncomfortable, but I'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks.

Right then. I made a stupid bet with someone about doing a half marathon and beating them and theyíre a good runner.

I still want to lift weights and get a bit bigger. I know the two will probably fuck each other up but Iím going to do it anyway.

If I run after the gym is that bad? I always used to run first but I heard thatís bad. Canít really do alternate days as Iím away a lot and I try to go to gym every day I can.

I think cardio after weights is better, doing it before always fucks them up for me. It looks like your weights are your focus as well so prioritise them as you aren't winning the race anyway :D

    @Frogofdoom

So I used to be a really good runner. I think the best I ever did was ten miles in an hour.

But now Iím old and bigger. I remember guys that were big and still decent runners but we were all kids then. Not far off 40, want to see how close I can get to my best.
