It's terrible. All the fat goes from my face first. I look like fucking skeletor.

I read all PTs posts in a welsh accent and sometimes they really tickle me

I kind of just do clothes tests. If my slacks are going more MC Hammer then I'm on the right track. Also I barely have any breasts to cup now so that's disappointing.

Oh that's always been a steady 10 inch on flop. Around 4 inch girthy.

I felt a slight tickling sensation and then sticky and wet.

    @mrpon

No need any more. I've got 4 kids, converted to Incelism and now live a quiet life raging on the internet and playing MMORPG's.

I'm thinking about getting an eliptical trainer so I technically would never have to leave the house. Anyone ever had one? They look kind of shit until you hit the 600 quid range...

@captain-Snufkin I used a Tunturi C30 for a while, it was excellent. Very smooth movement, very quiet. Much prefer rowing nowadays though.

    Ditto.

We bought an elliptical trainer, but it wasn't that much good tbh, I prefer running anyway, so just MTFU and went out and ran in the rain.

We sold the elliptical and bought a reconditioned concept 2 in the end, which we are much happier with. The elllptical was in the garage though, which is not pleasant for working out in winter , the rower started out in the garage too, but then got moved into the spare room. It also folds up in the rare event of us having visitors.

Edit: The garage was truly grim for working out in winter. Not due to cold, but due to the amount of shit we have in there and the missus liking to have her car in there over winter too, which made it a bit cramped.

    MTFU.

I'm out in my freezing cold garage every night. It's character building.

Can't I MTFU in a nice warm house with a lovely cup of tea?

I too would go for a decent rowing machine over an elliptical. You can do more in less time in terms of calories burned and muscles worked.

Plus even in the winter, only the first hundred meters are cold

I think the correct term is "PTFU" nowadays. Stop being so sexist! Or assuming people's gender! (/jk - I don't care)

Do people have any recommendations for late night snacking? I always pig out just before bed which is the worst fucking thing, I know, but when I'm up late I always get hungry. If I'm going to snack, it might as well be something better than fucking doritos and purple baby-bels (these are new to me and much better than the red ones).

Also what kind of time do people tend to work out? Struggling to find an appropriate time between work and kids/family.

Rowing looks good actually, and works the legs more than I thought from u tube...

Tunturi at 230 quid sounds reasonable enough to take a punt, I only want it as a top up 20 mins a day before a shower when I don't to go anywhere. I'll have to research.

I don't see how "Penis The Fuck Up" would be any better.

Personally I work out first thing, wake up, coffee and then no more than an hour including warm up of working out and drinking lots of water.

I don't have a family so this is less difficult. I also work shifts, so 'first thing' is a moveable feast but I feel like shit later in my day if I don't work out first

    Yes, get some fucking willpower.

That aside, high protein is satiating, so make sure your last meal has a bunch, or eat later so you're less hungry before bed. Also, maybe go to bed!

(I eat celery plus hot doritos salsa, it's delicious)

Don't have it on Ocado it appears. Will pop by Sains on the way home to see if they have any. It'd be better than eating fucking celery though I'm sure.

I actually really like celery, so I've never really considered it any sort of hardship.

I generally eat cheese before I go to bed too. Slow release protein for the win! (I usually have calories to spare though as I train a LOT)

This is also a big I changed when I changed up my diet.
Eating will cause an insulin spike, which will start a chain reaction of chemical changes that you don't really want late at night before bed, plus digestion can affect your sleep quite heavily.

Eat a bigger meal earlier in the night so you're not hungry later, and drink more water. If it's not actually hunger but habit that;s making you do it then you need to find a way to control that.

I had my late-thanksgiving event on Sunday, and for dessert I ate a (not large) slice of apple pie and a (similar) slice of pecan pie, and 2 scoops of ice-cream.

My scale weight was up for 2 days after, by over a kilo. Today it was all gone again and I'm back down to where I was previously.
