I have been fond of a cake or 10 over the festive period. Plus all that smarties cereal can't be helping...

I still haven't been back to the gym since the 21st. was only supposed to have the one week off but its turned into two. I have lost a further 2.8kgs since returning home on the 28th, due to the application of a terrible diet and getting drunk almost everyday.

Will sort out my eating over the weekend and will get back in the gym on Monday (also back to work). I'm gonna be sore af.

Struggling to re-adjust to eating "normally" again.

    So fucking hungry.

Also can anyone recommend any beef jerky that you can get in the UK without the nasty nitrates in it?

I gained 3% body fat in 11 days. Thanks a lot, Jesus.

Just did my first treadmill intervals for a couple of months, during which time Iíve been smoking fairly frequently. I got a stitch within 2 minutes but did manage to finish the full distance.

Does anyone else fart when they run or is that just me

Apparently cheese is not healthy btw. I'm not convinced about this myself and will continue my independent research into the subject.

I find it so difficult to dig myself out of poor eating habits, I don't do the Xmas bad eating (other than a cheat meal for the day itself). It's boring but the alternative would be diabetes by March; my resolve once broken is appalling

I go through spells of that but with 2 breakfasts. If I'm up dead early, quite often have a couple of slices of toast at 5.30/6ish, then cereal at 7.30 or so. Not ideal.

My 2nd tea tends to be something like a chinese takeaway. It's got a bit out of hand.

To be honest, I'll just be happy if I can go the week without alcohol. Had way too much over Christmas as I was on holiday with the family.

That'll be difficult tomorrow though as I'm having a meal at a brewery! lol

Going to Thailand in just under 3 weeks as well and still carrying quite the dad belly. Too late now I guess, just have to try and tone it as best I can!

    First World problems eh...

Only took 2 days off training over Xmas. Iíve got a half marathon in 5 weeks so ran every other day and done a combination of KB, weights and core sessions. Got on the scales for the first time since before Xmas and Iíve lost 2lb so Iíve started the new year on the front foot!

I always find it strange when you go to a healthy, build-your-own-lunch fast food place in the US and step 1 is always ďchoose your proteinĒ

One thing I'd love to know is how people are getting 90g of protein a day on average. I have to put real effort into getting above that.

2 eggs for breakfast, protein bar as a snack with a latte, chicken breast for lunch, another protein bar, steak for dinner, cheese after. Easily done if you are American

It's the nonsense of "brah, you need a gram of protein for every pound you weigh" thing. Christ, you'd need to be on first name terms with the local Dynarod man

A friend of mine does actually find it hard to gain, heís over 6 foot and only weights 60kg. He runs a lot and recently started weight training, he asked for some pointers on how to gain mass and also just stop feeling faint. I did not know what to tell him, apart from just fucking eat everything, all the time

Running a lot is fucking stupid if he's trying to gain weight. Take it from an ultra-endurance "athlete".

Heís not tying to get big, just not look so scrawny. Running is his main thing so he wonít stop that, and he was skinny as anything long before he started running

I've lost 1.5kg this week, down to 70.1kg. I figure I need to burn as much fat in January as I can while improving my endurance, so I've been running 5k the times a week. Started doing sprints for 10 seconds every kilometer to try and me she I've got a bit of explosiveness.

February and March are all about gains bro
