Is a Fitbit 3 any good and provide useful information or is it just a gimmick?

    Anyone use resistance bands?

Few injuries to my joints are tasking their toll and need something other than swimming.

Yes, though mostly when I'm away.

I do regularly use them as part of squatting though.

I have a hip circle / band, mostly used for squats, hip thrusters and generally warming up

    https://www.improveyourbench.co.uk/collections/rehab?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIseu2-aLT5wIVBbDtCh2v-wBKEAAYASAAEgI2V_D_BwE

It seems to help. I feel like it works the... er.. side legs? And side arse. I did a bunch of squats with it yesterday and my quads feel like they’re on fire today

I thought only instagram models used those.

    So ripped awesome.

The crazy part is he's made an absolute fortune from that insanity.

First I’ve heard of him. The comments are mind boggling. Had some ribs removed, the “surgeon” wouldn’t let take them with him so he stole them, keeps them in a jar. Like, what the actual ever living fuck is that about.

And if you want to sleep tonight, don't scroll down on that Reddit page and click on the "walk around with it" link.

This was good advice, which I ignored.

Jesus, that's some fucking impressive definition. If nothing else, she lucked out with skin genetics! Most people would just be saggy loose skin.

Ken became Barbie a while back. Rodrigo Alves on google if you want to see what it looks like. Clearly not right in the head.

How can you tell if you've torn or strained a calf muscle?

So it turns out being a long term smartphone and IoT user has its disadvantages, like your devices deciding one day to tell you down to the ounce how much weight you've gained between the ages of 23 and 33.

Anyway lets just say I've been inspired to lose some weight. I've cut calories down to 1,500 a day and I'm burning about 150 calories a day on the old exercise bike. But if any of you all wanna recommend some magic pills that will make this go way faster that would be great

If you’re talking about the muscle then you neither strain or tear it, you over-stretch it to varying degrees. Ligaments and tendons can tear, which you’ll be alerted to when you no longer have full use of the limb as well as agonising pain

Switch from lager to vodka and smoke more.

Got me down from an unsightly 27 stone to a rather svelte 23.5 in just under 6 years.

I recently had grade 2 tears ("tears") in both of my calves within 6 months of each other playing football. The right calf went when running gently and felt like someone had thrown a fist-sized stone at the back of my leg. The left just went when walking, crazy way to get a serious injury.

How you know if it's a tear is, you know! The pain is agony, unlike any other leg injury I've had. Walking was near impossible for the next 3 days, and the bruises that appeared a week later were brutal souvenirs. Took 3 months to recover from each.

Physio told me that the data shows it's incredibly common between about 35 and 65, and there's no way to guard against it - I do a lot of cross training and my calves were probably my strongest body muscles. He also pointed to evidence that shows stretching immediately before exercise does little to prevent injury, so I've adjusted my warm ups to a longer period getting the heart rate higher and natural movement involving the calves, rather than dedicated static stretches.

While I'm here, can anyone recommend a good set of scales?

My old school spring scales have bit the dust, and I like the idea of a set with body fat measurements, but don't trust the Amazon reviews for the identikit Chinese sets, particularly as it seems the quality of the app is key.
