Hyuoshi would post everyones account details if he became a mod.

If he couldn't do that he'd probably just settle for banning you disc.

I was nice to you! I gave you job finding advice on MSN and everything!
Ungrateful little swine, you’re next on the mod hit list Bill! You, and then your children, and then your children’s children!!
Calm down dear, it's only a forum. ;)
He was actually saying you were nice to him or is that what you were taking umbrage at? That Lutz, yeah. He's a right jobworth, hardman mod. I'd fcuk with Cthulhu before Lutz.
    Better. :)

    edit: ignore me, i appear to have forgotten my reading comprehension head today. ;_;

    Winners?

Losers more like, being a mod must be the worst job ever, no wonder mapster snapped. Too much responsibility for what should be no more than a fun site to pass the time.

Yeeeah I'm a bit confused now...

Anyway, looks like this months mega-navel gaze has almost come to an end. It’s been emotional and I think we’ve all come out a bit wiser and stronger.

    Peace out.

Raups explained some issues and it then entered a discussion on mods which was going well until i destroyed my credibility by turning up in bright coloured patchwork coat, falling apart car, big shoes and a custard pie. Which i then fell on.
Aside from that not much, just the lads having a lark.

It seems to me that GI's and bans should be refered upwards, instead of being in the hands of volunteers. That stops the volunteer mods from getting /too/ much stick (although they'll still have to deal with the hissy fits over locking threads) and it will limit the damage mods gone postal can do.

Just to say us usermods only have the GI hammer.

craigy hoards the banhammer for himself.

The GI hammer just seems a little tempermental lately =)
  • Deleted user 23 July 2007 12:23:18
Usermods need to be able to GI so that spammers and sellers can be dealt with quickly, which is what the GI stick is used for 99% of the time.

As I say, generally the system works ok. The recent events were a bit of a blip and I’m sure we’ll all work out ways in which it can be avoided in future because of it.

I think everyone should get to take turns at being mod for a day. That way you won't have anymore incidents of mods going crazy with power.

In my opinion, mods should be employees of EG and not regulars from the forum who have been given privilages, as it turns user-mods into "EG Defence Force" apparently.
I personally think this is a stonkingly good idea and I subscribe to it 100%. I will more than happily become a full time employee moderator and I ask for nothing more than a token increase in my current salary level, a mortgage subsidy, a company car and of course relocation costs.

No. We already got one Spurs fan as a mod. The new mod shouldn't be an old timer.

I'm thinking of a freshmen here, someone that will personify the sophistication of some of the newcomers of this site, as to say their good representatives and he gratitudes all the support he gets. That person should be me.
