Feeling happy that my new tie has arrived today. £2 well spent I feel. Yes, I realise it's not much to be excited about, but I'm easily pleased! |

Happy news!
I got my Down Syndrome risk levels back on the chestburster and although my baseline risk as an old lady is 1/100, my calculated risk from measurements and blood tests is 1/3700.gif)

Registered 13 years agoBit random, but our reconditioned alloys are coming back tomorrow
Finally I can stop feeling guilty about the scratch marks down the passenger side where I hit the ice last year on a corner and properly kerbed them
Oh, also, turns out I get ( 6 whole weeks) maternity pay, despite being on a contract. Which is also good, and the reason I spent some of the money I'd saved on the assumption I wasn't getting any MP on sorting the alloys.

Registered 13 years agoI really like the fact that Tom Ravenscroft is on 6Music. He's not his dad (John Peel), but he carries his spirit within. He's good company and brings me new sounds. Not all of which I like, but I guess that's part of the legacy. -

It's an awesome tie, I've worn it twice so far... and bought some more!
Did you really have to bump this, I'd almost forgot about that hideous fucking tie.
Useful for scaring small children & clearing supermarket queues too. -

No, only the poisonous, tasteless original will do. It's high class you know and not to be confused with any ordinary novelty tie, arf! -

Registered 13 years agoEr, yes
18wks weeks now. Had my first full-on Cronenberg body horror invasion panic attack yesterday, which was fun. There is a person growing inside me. It has built itself, now it just needs to grow. Terrifying stuff. 2 weeks til we know what flavour it is.
Dad's club sounds fun, and I feel fairly certain that my experience of parenthood, like life, will be more closely mirrored to that of you lot than Mumsnet, and yet, it seems likely that one of the primary benefits of Dad's Club is the lack of a female perspective, or input of any kind. So thanks for thinking of me, but I think best not.

Being massively ignorant of most things adult, I was not aware there was a test. I have to say it is something that nags at me, seeing that I am in my 30's and no plans to have children in the next couple of years it is a relief to see you can have have that information.
