Just watching The Abyss on Film 4 (started at 9pm). I'd forgotten Michael Biehn's moustache.

    ..and his CAPTIVATING performance. ;)

The Abyss is great. Cameron writes great gruff-man dialogue.

This looks awful for a broadcast film, like an R5, don't remember it looking this bad. Flicking over to Blade Runner just emphasises it. Which version are Film 4 showing?

If you have nothing to do for the next 4 hours, the original Solaris just started on Film 4, so it'll be on F4+1. The South Park movie seems strangely attractive though.

Has anyone seen Igby Goes Down?

Cheers. Hmm. We were going to watch Mullholland Drive, which starts at 12.30 and the other half hasn't seen. But he is very asleep on the sofa. Maybe I will watch Igby instead, it's on ITV1 at 01:35

Have a glass of wine, beer, go for a run, have some sex, knock one out.

    All work a treat usually.

It has that sharp faced American actress in it though, I can't stand her face!

Done all those things bar the run, which is beyond me right now. He's asleep, I'm awake. So it goes. I'm used to it, I wouldn't get to read so much if I wasn't insomniac.

Christmas week. Bound to be a big week for movies. Can the EG fountain of knowledge recommend movies that I should be adding to my Sky+ planner this week?

Edit: Just stumbled upon TV Guide website.

    Nightmare Before Christmas - Today at 11.30am - BBC2
    National Lampoons Christmas - Today 12.30pm - ITV1
    Scrooge (1951) - Today 1.40pm - five
    Miracle on 34th Street - Today - 5.15pm - Channel 4
    Jingle All the Way - Today - 5.25pm - E4

Bloody tonnes of stuff on. See for yourself here.

The Brady Bunch Movie is on Film4 at 1pm today. It's not what you'd expect, very funny.

I got all excited and then realised I'd made the classic mistake of mixing this up with Smokey and the Bandit.

    Sheriff Buford T. Justice FTW!

    You don't like Cannonball Run?

    RIP Dom DeLuise.

Cannonballs cool but i just dig the Smokey films more. They are somehow entangled in my mind - probably at some point in my childhood I saw both back to back or something.

    Face/Off, BBC1 in a sec..

Edit* I want a Face/Off prequel. Tell Travolta to lose some weight and Nice Cage to cut his hair and i'd be well into it.
