Quickie: Mobile phone question?

If i bought a brand new phone from a shop somewhere IE Nokia would it be unlocked so i could use my O2 contract sim card in it ?

It will state when you buy it if it is locked to a network.

Thats just it, it doest not on the Nokia on line shop anyway.

If it doesn't say it's locked, it won't be locked.
