@Progguitarist Punchestown 2002? That was my first ever gig! I learned the value of having really shit bands like Lostprophets play at festivals; it afforded me the chance to buy overpriced chips without missing anything. |

RE: Black Gives Way to Blue, IMHO better than the previous record, I like it a lot, couple of filler tracks but a lot of good.
RE: Katatonia Gig, fucking awesome, they were immense as all fuck. Blinding set. Alcest were good but the sound tech fucked em over with a terrible mix, until the last track when they sorted it out (mostly). -
Been trying to get into these lads on and off for a few years now, gave the album a go this evening and something clicked, really enjoying it!

Metal IS embarrassing.
It constantly strives to be more like the super-awesome number 7,000 (which is a number that all the cool kids aspire to be, clearly), and fails miserably.

@OllyJ
Pretty much what I've been told before! I'll start sinking my teeth into the debut properly, might try and pick up 333 in the new year. -

Come on, it's shit like hip-hop is if your cover it with a blanket. There's some fantastic stuff if you look for it, it's especially good if you like a good drummer.

I recently purchased a few copies of Kreator's Phantom Antichrist, (the Japanese edition - which contains the bonus track, Iron Destiny). If anyone's interested, just contact me, and I'll be happy to send you a copy for free. -

Registered 11 years agoA FEW copies? I mean, Kreator are ace and all, but why buy more than one? -
Jaysus, Kreator are still doing the rounds?
Last one I heard was 'Enemy of God'. Wasn't bad. -
When I first found out about 'Phantom Antichrist', I noticed that quite a few reviewers mentioned that the Japanese edition had an extra track - but since they'd already purchased the other edition, they wouldn't mind having the Japanese edition, but weren't exactly eager to purchase the album again.
After hearing the album, I ended up strongly feeling that the bonus track provides a much better finish than the song prior to it, ('Until Our Paths Cross Again' - which, incidentally, is what the Argosy Captain says in Monster Hunter Tri).
(As for what motivated me to get the extra copies and distribute them... I was feeling benevolent after receiving a free vegan recipe book at an exhibition on the environment... even though I'm not a vegan.)
Of the two studio albums that Kreator have produced since 'Enemy of God' - i.e. 'Hordes of Chaos' and 'Phantom Antichrist', I'd say that 'Phantom Antichrist' is certainly the better one (lyrically and musically), but 'Hordes' is still worth listening to - not least for the tracks 'Warcurse' and 'Demon Prince'.
Still waiting for someone to respond to my offer.

I am indeed serious: all I need is a shipping address, and I'll despatch a copy. -

Just send me a private message with a shipping address, and I'll do the rest, (with the help of the post office).
I've already sent one, and I have two more copies to spare.

AWESOME! -
The second one is shipped; only one free copy of Phantom Antichrist (Japanese Edition - i.e. the one with the bonus track) remains.
Since I've got some credit to spare with CDJapan, I have half a mind of purchasing one or two more copies of it - if more people are interested. -
