These Galway lads were recently interviewed on Metal Ireland and got a gig supporting Mastodon in Dublin for their upcoming shows. Must say this is pretty fucking good. |

It was nice when all our family went 'ahhh isn't that lovely' when me and the misses read out our promises.
Little do they know it's from dead skin mask and about Ed Gein.

Registered 17 years agoSummoning - Old Mornings Dawn arrived yesterday. Enjoying it though not really found a standout track yet and doesn't do anything to original. I'm sure after a few more listens that will change though. -
Getting into Melechesh properly. They're a bit good, eh! -
Anyone remember Psychotic Waltz? Still gives me chills.

Love the Waltz! Only have two of their records though (Into The Everflow and Bleeding).
Dan Rock is probably the coolest chap to ever sport a half beard! -

Impetigo are great, awesome gore metal! How about some breakfast at the Manchester Morgue:
Some of the strangest vocals you'll ever hear. Album starts proper at 1:18
I used to love this album as a teenager. A girl, who I was in love with, gave me a copy. Good times!

Registered 11 years ago@Graveland that was by far the vilest video I have ever seen. Fecking hell that's just going too far. -
Black Sabbath number one both sides of the Atlantic. \o/
No real media push on the album outside of a few spots, just solid reviews and a fookin awesome album.

Yup, it's a brilliant album. It's not getting media coverage because it's not xfactor, manufactured, money spinning bullshit that's all over the radio.

Registered 15 years agoPlayed the new Sabbath album a few times yesterday. Wasn't that fond of it initially but its definitely grown on me. -
Pretty good cover by GWAR there!
Whenever I hear that Kansas track it always makes me think, damn Dream Theatre has made quite a career of re-arranging that song ten ways on each album.

Registered 15 years agoNew album by Vestal Claret is pretty great occult heavy metal/trad-doom in the vein of "Hour of 13". Well, they share(d) a band member so that makes sense I guess.

It is excellent but the EP before that was even better (IMO) and is now free for your downloading pleasure:

@BeheretiK
Ding dong, I'll give that a go! Nice one (again!)

Listened to the new Sabbath album a few times now on the web, and it absolutely doesn't grow on me. Can't help finding this their worst album of all (yes, of all). So tired and lifeless... I don't get it.
The first Sabbath album I won't buy.

Excerpts from possibly the three most-despised Sabbath albums. All have more energy and life in them than the new one if you ask me. Heck, even the drugged up mess of Never Say Die had at least the advantage of being so bad that it was somewhat cool again.
