I don't wear a watch. Not as some kind of statement, but both of the really nice watches I own ran out of batteries 2 years ago, and I'm too lazy to replace them.

If I did replace them, it's be a Quicksilver watch that was a 21st present for daily wear and a pretty spiffy Diesel watch that I got as a wedding present from the wife for best.

I've got some talking watch that tells the time in Japanese, though the batteries are running out so it makes a horrific sound.

I just find a watch quicker and easier than pulling out the phone every time I need the time.

No, we're talking about things that, besides having a purpose, also look nice.

Besides, a watch is a thousand times more practical. Not only don't I want to carry a mobile with me all the time, I also can't be arsed to fumble it out of my pocket just to check the time.

    No. :(

The LCD/ bit was a small bit of the face in the middle.

edit: that watch is sweet though.

e: cross that one with this one and we're getting closer.

Just noticed you said LED, could well have been. Some of the Novus ones on that site are v. close.

Heh! That's the one I've got.

Have you ever replaced the batteries in it, as that's what I need to do with mine. Just wondering if it's easy to do, or whether I should take it to a jewellers.

I have an Armani and two Calvin Kleins. None of them very expensive.

I've been wanting the Chanel Chocolat black ceramic version ever since it came out but it's a bit expensive so I haven't put in the money yet.

A Casio G-Shock... Great watch... More resistant than the Devil itself...

Ain't that the truth. I found it funny when I read the little manual that the G-Shock is "approved for jackhammer use".

    Awesome little watches.

Rotary. A sterling silver one because most non-silver watches give me a horrendous rash on my arm.

I also have a Baby G for swimming and other sporty type activities.

And a Garmin 205 which is awesome.

    Omega Seamaster

...I was earning a fair amount for my age / lifestyle so decided to buy something that would last me a lifetime, one day I am hoping to wear it up my ass and have Christopher Walken pass it on to my Son.

Not really - I wish though. But I could never spend that much money on what is essentially bling.

I have a couple of Seikos and a really nice Swiss Army brand watch, the face looks like the clocks on Swiss station platforms.
