    Both I vote.

IAAF spokesman Nick Davies says the "extremely complex, difficult" test has been started but the results were not expected for several weeks.

Worth remembering that 9.58*2 = 19.16... dropping only 3 hundredth of a second running at that speed for twice as long? Should not be possible. Fuck me.

Yeah, I saw the Heptathlon - good stuff. I also thought both the British ladies were quite tasty :)

Was going to post this a few days ago: Just a general observation (and specifically from these championships) but heptathletes = hot.

It is more than possible. Due to the flying start for the 'second' 100m the 200m record has often been less than 2x the 100m one. Suggesting he can go even faster :)

Anyone see the interview with William Sharman after the men's 110m hurdles final? What a quality bloke - best interview with a sportsman I've ever seen!

Considering I'm so into fitness you'd think I'd be more into athletics but for some reason it just doesn't grab me. Don't really know why. I've always felt that way, ever since my school days. I can appreciate the training but the events themselves do nothing for me at all, even when world records are broken.

Sitting in the garden and not hearing someone knock your front door = Missed drugs test
Arriving somewhere a couple of minutes late = missed drugs test

But that's not quite the same as telling UK Athletics that you'll be at one venue and then going somewhere else. Especially daft when you know that miss 3 and you're out, and you've already missed two.

1 i can understand, 2 is looking careless, but 3 is looking rather dodgy.

You do know that the intended venue (Mile End) was in use, so she went to Crystal Palace.

She failed 3 out of 5 drug test (she passed 2), and as others have mentioned, the UK has some crazy rules.

People need to first UNDERSTAND the rules before they start judging her.

She may have missed 3 tests, but fact is also that everytime she has been tested (and I'm sure most athletes were testing for the compeition as well), she has passed ALL OF THEM. EVERY SINGLE ONE (even during the suspension).

Why don't call her a cheat if she fails one. Until then...

Humm, not sure I agree with that. In professional cycling, if you miss one test without proper explaaination you usually get a ban of around 2 years, regardless of whether you have passed previous tests. Yes I know cycling is different but athletics isn't far behind when it comes to drug testing. Personally, if you can't explain why you missed 2 tests then you should be banned, end of story. These are professional athletes not kids, and this sort of stuff should be at the top of their priorities.

The testing must have been fairly conclusive then.

For some reason I'm not overly surprised though...

She did explain, the problem is no explanation is ever really good enough.

Yeah, I saw it too. The guy was class.
Really, I wonder who actually watches athletics? Its on the BBC ffs, but no one here gives a damn.
I'm never a fan of the marathon events (can't stand them), but love pretty much all the other track and field sports.
