    English trailer
  • Deleted user 15 January 2011 10:35:59
Good spot Cid, is that for the EU release then?
  • Deleted user 15 January 2011 11:01:04
Indeed. I don't think it's coming to the US.

Has anyone else been able to get a copy of this? I got one from Gamesbasement but I think they're out of stock now. There are some English copies on ebay but they're going for silly money. Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland and Portugal have English versions, but it's near impossible to import from those countries at a reasonable price.
Not sure when the main UK retailers will get this, if ever. It's a mess. They could have made loads of money in the UK from this.

It's a ridiculous situation but the UK market is waiting on a deal to show the anime on TV before they start selling this...

By the time that happens, everyone will have shifted their attention to the 3ds.
A football RPG by the makers of mega hit Professor Layton. How big could this series have been in the UK had they really tried?

Is this ever going to be released in the UK? :( I've sent an email to Nintendo about a month ago and all I got was a crappy "we're looking into releasing the game but there are no current plans" - the Nickelodeon website doesn't say anything about the series being shown... the game is in a warehouse waiting to be shipped WHAT THE HELL, NINTENDO!

Can the folks at Eurogamer not investigate this matter? I do not want to have to pay ridiculous amount of money for it and the more we go further along in the year the less likely it is that they will release it, there are hardly any DS game releases beyond July!

I hope Nintendo aren't being stupid and waiting for the start of the next football season. You have no chance against FIFA/PES :p

I was anticipating this game until I heard the voices in the trailer.

Apparently they're waiting until someone picks up the anime for the UK.

edit: Which is exactly what HA said on the previous page. Doi.

Does anybody know if the french version has a english language option?
  • Deleted user 13 June 2011 20:55:01
Nope. I think only the Scandanavian versions and Portuguese have english.

Honestly, I was quite disappointed from what I played. It's OK, not amazing. Not worth the fuss.
The worst thing about it is that most of your time is spent in random battles (4v4) which are quite tedious. I know it's an RPG, but it just feels wrong in a football game, and most RPGs these days at least let you see your enemies beforehand and give you a chance to avoid them.

I didn't play all of it, so maybe it improves.

I wonder how many places will sell this...
has anyone played it? is it any good?
  • Deleted user 26 July 2011 13:09:36
Yeah, see my post on 13th June. It's starts off really good, but became quite tedious, for me anyway.

Anyone ordered this? Got it today - only managed to put half an hour into it so probably pointless giving impressions so far, just curious as to if anyone else is getting it!

To be honest I completely forgot I preordered it
  • Deleted user 25 August 2011 08:52:03
My copy was posted yesterday, so I'll hopefully have it before the weekend

Dodgy opening song aside, this is excellent. I've spent most of my time scouting all the oddballs I've come up against on my travels.

The fat, shaven-headed guy with a psychotic stare, several scars on his face and wearing what appears to be a surgical mask will make a fine addition to the squad, I think.

What is the actual footy playing side of things like, do you get a "proper" game.

It's football as a bizarre FFVII battle. Really enjoying this so far.

    Oh you tease!
Been looking at this but I've still got Red the dog hunter game thing which I got bored of.

Matches have a nice flow to them once you get to grips with the controls. Actual 11-a-side games seem to mostly act as partially scripted finales to each chapter, but you can replay them any time you like without any of the scripted stuff. That's when the game's at its best.

Can't remember where I read it (can't seem to see it in this thread yet I'm sure I read it here) about the final game of chapter 2 being the most ridiculous difficulty spike.

After a few goes, its got to be said that it's woeful game design. The amount of speech etc to get through too, literally can't be arsed to do it yet again.

    Might try again tomorrow. Shame.

It's what every high school sports team needs.
