Registered 10 years agoNex Machina is great fun. I don't think it sold very well, which is a shame, It's definitely my favourite game of theirs -

Registered 11 years agoHas anyone here ever bought another used ps3 and then tried to activate it so you can download all your pre-paid games via the store?
I'm getting the "you cannot activate this ps3 because you already have 2 activated. Deactivate some of those first" message.
Yet if I log onto sony playstation network, it says I have a grand total of "Fuck All" systems registered. Including no PS4 either.
Which is fucked up.
But either way, I still can't register this 'new' ps3.
How wank is that?
Anyone have a workaround? All the sony guides are shit and out of date, and can't find any user stories on it. -

Registered 11 years agoAh no matter. It's the play station site that's fucked. Had to contact Sony to get them to sort it. -

Registered 9 years agoLooks as if Sony have started applying the good sale prices that were previously for everyone, now only to PSN+ subscribers.
Non-online tards get minor discounts.
Nice cunt move, Sony. -

Pretty sure they have been doing this for years.

Registered 15 years agoYeah, I was thinking the same. The best prices have always been with PS+. -

Registered 15 years agoIsn't showing like that when I look. Is this a change that they've said they're going to make going forward? They've always had Plus sales and normal ones and both are definitely still showing up for me if I don't log in to the web store. -

Registered 15 years agoI think the most recent sale is the 'double discount' one they sometimes do to encourage plus signups, i.e. not mark stuff down massively then give it a proper price cut if you have gold. -

Registered 4 years agoPs+ subscriber often get pre order discounts as well, mainly on indie games though. The excellent looking ghost runner is £5 cheaper to pre order, new trailer.

Any kind of context to this?
On sale many times for 15.99 or less, new sale 17.49 for PS+, 26.24 for everyone else.
The Surge 2
On sale before for 15.99 , new sale 15.29 for PS+, 30 for everyone else.
PS+ was always a bit cheaper, now the difference is huge with the real sales only available for PS+ -

Registered 16 years agoI don't think this is any kind of anomaly or new approach. They've always had differing sale prices and PSPlus discounts that all vary depending on the specific sale. -

Registered 15 years agoThat's still normal. They do stuff like that all the time. Have done for years. You're suggesting it's some sort of new thing but 2 games alone doesn't support any sort of formal policy change. -

It's all 7 games that I was alerted on this morning, I just choose 2 examples. Hopefully Nick is right and I just didn't notice when it happened before.

This is normal practice. Has been for about 4-5 years now at least.

Registered 5 years agoYeah this always happened, hasn’t it? Before I got Witcher 3 GOTY Edition it could be anywhere between £7.99 and £39.99 depending what offers were running and whether you were + or not -

I've got in the mindset of, if a game I want is on sale now, it'll be on sale another time in the near future. Helps keeps the backlog somewhat trimmer.

Just wish the PSN wishlist was easier to monitor, e.g. sending alerts like Steam do. -

Registered 17 years agoApparently Vita, PS3 and PSP are going to be pulled from the PSN webstore in an update in a week or so, as part of the prep for the changes to the PSN webstore ahead of the PS5 launch. You'll need to use the store app on the devices themselves to download anything in future:

Registered 13 years agoThe vita store, on vita, is barely functional as it is. -
The on system Vita store is terrible. Sony do keep making their store worse and for no reason. Surely they could have an opt-in checkbox on the search functionality to find those systems and default to just PS4/5... The PS3 store is pretty clunky too but a lot better than the Vita one.
