There's a great deal on here in DK where you can trade your Premium plus any 5 360 games (except PGR3, GRAW, FIFA: World Cup '06 and PD0) and you can buy the console for 99kr (about £9). Now this means I can pick up a used copy of say, Kameo for around a £10 and add it to the deal. I think RR6 is going for around that price too. The only thing that's holding me back is the promise of the new Falcon chipset 65nm cooling thing-bob. However, as these their arrival is still unconfirmed and the offer on the Elite runs out on Oct 31st. What would you do? I can't quite make up my mind. I've got 3 games I want to trade and won't mind paying out £30 (two more games and the offer price) for an Elite tomorrow. Decisions, decisions. |

Registered 15 years agoAlso have to ask yourself what the falcon will do for you too. If it's because it may be quieter, then perhaps it's worth waiting. If it's because it may be more reliable... well you're losing out on time waiting for the console just as you might (it's not 100%) have to wait for a replacement if it breaks. -

Registered 19 years agoIt's also the interim build between the old crappy 360s and the new 65nm models. Namely with a new Heatsink assembly on the GPU with improved heat dissipation. -

Build your own. I got a cheap Core, a Hard Drive and cheap £10 fan from Tesco blowing on the thing. Been going strong for at least 8 months now. I think I've solved the Xbox 360 puzzle. -

Registered 17 years agoThe reason the Elite appeals is because a) New and shiny, b) black, c) 120 GB HDD - I reckon IPTV is just a few months away d) We're getting a new TV in a couple of months also and HDMI ftmfw.
Oh and they're all fitted with the quieter Ben-Q drives. -

Registered 16 years agoGo for it now. We don't know when the falcon will reach us, could be Xmas 2008 in Europe for all we know.
You will have the 3 years warranty with your Elite anyway. Go buy it NOW! The shop is still open

That's my only issue. I'll ring the store in the morning and hear what they've got to say. I've heard they'll lend you a memory to transfer over your Live account. However, my problem is I've got a couple of XBLA games that can't be downloaded again so I'll want the money from MS for them. -
