So... Who's getting this then? It's out this Friday IIRC.

The demo was a source of controversy and the reviews have been fair to middling.

I, for one, enjoyed the demo though could agree with some complaints. The PSN videos have been welcome if your interested in the production or back story.

Is the game going to be any good though? Can anyone overcome it's deficiancies and just enjoy it. Or will it be another Lair, where its complications got in the way and stopped the enjoyment? Proof will be in fridays pudding.

Nope, Super Paper Mario for me this week.

    Actually, I don't own a PS3 either, so I suppose my vote's a bit pointless.

I will get it one day, but for now I've got MOH:Airborne that's occupying my time nicely and then of course there's Halo 3 in two weeks.

I'm interested, but This title is not a launch day must buy in my opinion, but it a few weeks I could imagine buying it.

I'd buy it if I had a PS3. That's a serious reply, btw. Not of much significance, but anyway. :)

I'll buy it, but not right away.

I think it'll be the first time I wank to a videogame.

Only just got round to downloading the demo.

I will not be investing £40 ~ £50 on it. I don't think I can get over the control mechanism.

Might pick it up in 6 ~ 8 months 2nd hand.

    It definitely, definitely doesn't count.

I always had a thing for red haired girls, and this one goes to 11!

I'll probably get gutted for saying this because I think Heavenly Sword looks good and certainly the story and movie-like presentation has me interested but I won't be buying it.

    Why?

Well because it's another of those games that looks absolutely gorgeous visually but is rife with v-sync tearing. Honestly, every HD review I've watched of it (IGN, GTTV and GameSpot) has tons of it, it's so bad it makes the pre-patched Saints Row look perfectly fine. In fact, I don't even think the game is v-synced at all so this "issue" would really, really annoy me and distract from my enjoyment of the game. To me, it'd be like watching your favourite movie on a poor copy pirate DVD or something.

Sorry. I'm sure the game is decent from the reviews I've read but bad tearing like that just gives me headaches! LOL

    :D

To be fair, while I do fancy her red hair, it's her lips that really fascinate me.

Thanks be screen tearing is limited to the 360!

    /pulls off PS3 fan mask

    HAHAHAHAAAA!

/runs to a neaby rooftop and disappears in a flash of smoke

(still wanna play it though, asian birds ftw)

Sorry but I have to reply to this. I am not sure what you are on about because I played that demo a fair bit and did not notice any v-sync tearing at any point.

    Then you're quite blind.

The demo certainly has it, but I'm not convinced it'll be that bad in the full game.

Could be, I do wear glasses. However, I did notice it immediately in dead rising, which I played a week or so after the heavenly sword demo.

Well go check out GameTrailer or GameSpot's 720p video reviews then and make up your own mind about it then. For me, it's absolutely ghastly and so obvious. If you've ever turned off the Frame Limiter in 360 BioShock then that's what it looks like to me, i.e. the game doesn't use v-sync at all... eeeek!

My copy's already been posted, apparently, so it looks like my copy of CMR Dirt which arrived this morning, won't be getting much attention for a few days at least. Hopefully it'll be in my letterbawks tomorrow.
