My gran was Irish! Got loads of family over in Waterford area, went over couple years back and did a road trip, popping in to say hi along the way. Great place!

(Waterford has better beaches than where I'm from. Opposite coast, still only 2 hours away!)

I refuse to believe that the EG forum has ever had any technical issues.

It is perfection, and not a hilariously shambolic, amateurish mess.

Looking through those old threads, there's more deleted users than still existing ones. They die so young...

I wouldn't trust blonski's post there. It should be taken with a pinch of salt.

No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century that your forum was being watched by intelligences greater than your own; that as you busied yourselves about your various concerns, *WE* observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.

With infinite complacency, you went to and fro about the globe, confident of your empire over this world. Yet across the straight, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic regarded your forum with envious eyes and slowly, and surely, drew our plans against you.
    :-D
