Always wondered why publishers of big magazines cannot offer subscribers free digital download versions alongside the print media copy.... would probably boost subs somewhat.

Sadly, as soon as you start sending people stuff online, they can recirculate it with- which leads to a drop in subs / loss of revenue.

Great link Metalfish, some of the ungrateful basts in this thread need to read that and really take it to heart.

Pirotic, I got the same email but mine didn't state 'Several Weeks'.

Oddly enough the magazine arrived the same day as I got the email.

Are the royal mail striking again anytime soon?

Don't fancy things I've ordered disappearing into a blackhole for 2 weeks again.

I'm just wondering if they are going to be striking again soon, so I know whether to cancel my orders and go to the shops instead.

I know they balloted recently but I can't find anything about when or if they are striking again so I can adjust my plans.

    God I hate Royal Mail.

I just got my copy of the Times Educational Supplement delivered. Date? 10th december.

I have 5 parcels due. 3 where due on the tenth, 2 are due tomorrow. I'm not going to get any stuff before going home for christmas. CHRISTMAS IS CANCELLED.

They were delivered, but your housemate intercepted them and gave them to his mother.

Do you get tracking numbers for 1st class recorded ?
  • Deleted user 16 December 2010 16:12:10
I sent a parcel off on Saturday for guaranteed next day international delivery. Now, what with it being Saturday, I was expecting despatch on Monday to be delivered Tuesday. But apparently, guaranteed next day means despatch on Tuesday, delivery at some point on Friday, possibly Monday.

Was a pretty urgent parcel too, a duplicate of one I sent off three weeks ago via Airsure which still hasn't arrived.

    RM/Parcelforce are an utter joke.

    UGH

Trying to talk to a REAL PERSON at royal mail in order to get the number for the Glaisdale delivery office in Nottingham. A search of the web gives their fax number as their telephone number.

Getting a real person to answer the phone is impossible. It's all robots redirecting you to the website. SMASSSSH

    0844 474 0395

    Or 0115 9290985

(currently in a simlar shaped boat)
  • Deleted user 17 December 2010 16:29:02
0115 9290985 I'm sure is a fax as it rings then does a computer sound.

0844 474 0395 is an automated voice that never lets you get through to a representative.

I just want to talk to them to ask them if they did that leave a card thing but forgot to leave a card! I don't want to have to drive 40 minutes to the office only to find that they don't have it and it's been lost.

    GRUMP

NOT THAT I EVEN KNOW THEY WERE POSTED WITH ROYAL MAIL.

    I think I'm going mad
