Is it still cool not to like Top Gear? I really want to be cool but just can't miss Sundays @ 8pm. I tell my girlfriend not to ring or text for that hour. |
Top Gear. Exclusive to Dave.

I think it is great. The only show on TV I will make an effort to watch, even the repeats. -

Registered 20 years agoThey're quite partial to a bit of 90s U2 as well; Zooropa last night, and the Passengers album turns up a fair bit. -

Registered 16 years agoI'll tell you one thing they did get spot on last night; the fucking epidemic of motorway closures around this fucking country.
The other week I was caught in a 15 mile tailback on the M40 as, yet again, a lorry had jacknifed between J9 and 10.
As I was sat, headbutting the steering wheel, listening to sally traffic, they had also closed the M1 and part of the M25, effectively cutting off a massive chunk of southbound traffic. -

Registered 18 years agoGood show, glad to see them toning down the silliness too. I just wonder how many complaints about the casual racism they'll get?
I thought it was funny but some of our Euro-chums may take offence.

Registered 16 years agoIt's the fake pretence that keeps getting on my tits.
We discovered this road (Col de Turini) er.. yeah it's only been used as a rally stage for the last God knows how many years.
And we discovered this road in Switzerland. Yeah and you just happened to have a helicopter with you at that exact moment.
Just cut the bollocks and say "these are three great roads and we went to drive on them" job done. -

Registered 18 years agoWhat!? They lied!?
I totally believed they drove around Europe and found the best roads all on their own! Now you're saying they lied!
I'm with you, X201. It did grate a bit to be honest but accusing CH5 of burning down their studio *was* funny.

I think that they generally do the fancy shots without the presenters a bit afterwards anyway, so it is possible. Though I don't really mind the pretense really; anyone who thinks that anything on TV isn't is a wee bit crazy anyway. -

I could not stand the green of the GT3 RS. But the straight 6 did sound nice.
I am in the wrong job, I wonder if this need a rent boy to brew up for them (and drive a bit)? -

Just reading up on it..
"The instrument panel in the Reventón comprises of three TFT liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with two different display modes. The instruments are housed in a structure milled from a solid aluminium block, protected by a carbon fiber casing. The G-Force-Meter is completely new and it is one of the talking points of the Reventón. It displays the dynamic drive forces, longitudinal acceleration during acceleration and braking, as well as transversal acceleration around bends. These forces are represented by the movement of an indicator on a graduated 3D grid depending on the direction and intensity of the acceleration. A similar instrument can be found in airplanes. Formula One teams also use a similar device to analyse dynamic forces."
So pointless.. yet so f**ing awsome.
