Streets of Rage 3 Sound Problems

Is anyone else having problems with the sound in Streets of Rage 3?

It seems to speed up and then slowdown. Also the sound effects seem to be masked by the music on occasion.

Grrrr!

i am with the same problem with a SOR 3 copy i bought in eBay! Exact same problem ! Did you manage to find a solution? Thanks

SoR3 actually sounds like that. Dreadful, weird mechanical music and half the time the sound effects don't work.

That's on top of the ugly colour palette and unbalanced gameplay, if you're playing the non-Japanese version.

Yes, I bought it in 1994(!), and remember the same issue .

The the UK version was one of the few MegaDrive games that ran at the same speed as the NTSC version (PAL games generally ran about 17% slower). I always wondered if the gameplay optimization screwed up the audio in some way?
