Tea and Trade is a good expansion. It's a little expensive for what you get in terms of components (as all games/expansions by popular designers are) but it definitely improves the game.

Anyone with a Eurogame penchant and who is about to be trapped with youngish children for a few weeks may wish to know that 365games is currently selling Agricola Family Edition for £15. It’s an absolute steal at that price.

Nusfjord is down to 15-20 if you shop about; not for kids that one unless they like getting involved in shares!

Nusfjord is enjoyable as a solo game too (best at 3p due to the shares trading element but 1/2p is still worthwhile). I've played about 20 solo games with just the starter deck of cards.

Big positive out of being in self isolation with family and schools closing...

I've almost completed S&S campaign with my son and reckon I'll give Gloomhaven a proper run for it's money too!

Nice. I'm sitting in my 'home office' (game room!) with stacks of boardgames just about everywhere but have to concentrate on flowcharts instead.

On the plus side I've got the Azul expansion Crystal Mosaic coming today. It's new player board layouts and plastic overlays to stop the tiles moving around.

    @rice_sandwich

I've been hammered at work with nasty high priority issues all week but today is my first day with it being a bit slow.

Mainly I'm allowing my eldest to stay up late and play with me though since he hasn't got school :)

I know it’s the new hotness in board gaming circles, but hot damn if The Crew isn’t really very good indeed. It’s a cooperative trick taking game with severe communication limitations and a laughably thin ‘story’ which is effectively just a way to convey a whole mess of different spins on the core conceit of ‘win only the right tricks’. Some fun visual gags in the cards too, subtle enough to be overlooked by most.
Is this 'Crew: The Quest For Planet Nine'? Seeing this online for £10-15 and might be a good impulse buy... :-)

@f00b_inc It is! Well worth the low cost of entry, but bear in mind that although you could potentially get the German language version a bit cheaper than the English one, you shouldn’t. Though there’s no text on the cards there is a fairly lengthy manual/mission list, and the card quality is reportedly much worse in the German version. As there’s a LOT of shuffling involved, that’d be an issue quite quickly.

Also decided to get some games to help us get through quarantine. Picked up Pandemic last week which is cool, and have Carcassonne and Mansion of Madness arriving tomorrow. Should keep us entertained for a bit. :D

There’s an official solo mode bundled with the Pandemic : In The Lab box; however it’s also available on BGG if you fancied watching the world collapse on your own.

Hey all, considering the current situation I thought this might interest a few of you.

It's a full Beowulf adventure for 5E with rules for a GM and 1 player, you can download it on Drivethru if you don't like the look of my link.

    It's free :)

Are you going to back Guards of Atlantis 2 in a couple of weeks? I think we talked about that one and another a while back... but I can't remember which one I considered buying! 1 was better 2 player or something?

Tried playing a game over Teams with a couple of colleagues last week. Was quite fun but had to do some enormous workarounds to get it to work

    I spend way too much time on Tewitter and YouTube and none boardgaming ;_;

So I bought Yellow & Yangtze for my phone and it's intriguing. Not my usual kind of game so I've yet to wrap my head around it. I get beaten on easy.

@Gregolution I should. But they are so happy with Ring Fit Adventure that I don't have it in me to tear them away.

I really should get a game of Lord's of Waterdeep in this weekend though. With my wife as well.

    Or maybe Northern Pacific.

Yellow and Yangtze is growing on me sad I'm slowly getting to grips with it.

I should get the Meteo expansion. A Grand Tour expansion is coming later this year.

lol how long do you let them play? ours are allowed half an hour of gaming time. Possibly twice per day if they're good.

I should have a go at our Ring Fit Adventure, it looks quite fun.

Just did the first boss in Resident Evil 2. I feel we were overly prepared as he was pretty easy to put down with a magnum and a grenade launcher. I do feel at times that playing co-op is perhaps too much as one player hasn't got a lot to do if the other has to exchange the card etc. Or maybe we're playing it wrong ha..

Stage 1, La Classicisima, of my solo Flamme Rouge tour has been completed. I nabbed a win on the last card to pip the red team! All the sprinters were demolished. My sprinter ran out of gas near the end and is 1'40" off the pace. The companion app makes it fun to run a tour as it calculates the timings and points. There's a good dose of luck in FR but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

General Time Classification after stage 1

    1. Team Rice Roleur
    2. Red Roleur +20"
    3. Green Roleur +30"
    4. Green Sprinteur +1'20"
    5. Red Sprinteur +1'20"
    6. Team Rice Sprinteur +1'40"

    Points Classification

    1. Team Rice: 3 points
    2. Red Team: 2 points
    3. Green Team: 1 point

It varies.. But 30-60 minutes a day. It's a way for them to socialise as well. They play BotW and have their friends on Hangouts next to them, all playing BotW and talking about what they're doing. Ordered Mario Kart so that they can play a multiplayer gmae.

But I don't count Ring Fit as gaming tbh It's quite the workout. I would never dream of doing aerobics but Ring FIt keeps me going for 40-45 minutes. My legs are sore from all the squats it made me do two days ago.
