@Gregolution Thanks, good shout I guess as thereís enough basic cards for four players. Ironically my red skull is due this morning. Iíll take a peek at the cards but I donít need to get stuck in straight away. I see bgextras currently have virtually everything in stock but I canít buy more just now. Iíll get skinned alive as well.

With hero packs do you get another print of their aspect and basic or just selected aspect cards and the new ones?
Iím guessing the latter along with their identity cards.

The designers said on one the FFG broadcasts they wanted to keep the first cycle pretty basic and solid, then get complex later on. Let people get comfortable with the system first.

So RS should be pretty solid and then Guardians will be the one they turn up the dials a bit.

You should get another print of the basic cards so itís a compete standalone deck. Plus a few extras if they have space to pop them in. Usually about 4-5 extras IIRC

Sounds like youíd end up with quite a bit of surplus cards, guess thatís why people are maxing out storage but of course that also reduces the setup time I was mentioning earlier.

Itís here 🥳. Quick squizz at the rule book, new keywords is always cool but is ďsetupĒ REALLY a new keyword? Itís been used throughout already?

OOoohh I did not know this. Glad to hear it. I've got my storage setup and one day my custom burger tokens will arrive, plus I'm paid up to Guardians so lets hope for the best.

@Gregolution thanks I'll have a look. I do want some, but last time I checked they were expensive with the shipping. I might just need to swallow it though.

Red Skull's quite a nice little package. Fair amount of content for the price.

The campaign aspect is a little underwhelming, but I like the little comic book intro segments.

Tried out the Atomic Bonds expansion for Fallout. Good news is that it definitely fixes what was a substantially broken game. Bad news is, unless Iíve missed a rule, itís brutally hard. You only get maybe 20 rounds to both complete a major quest line and complete a random goal per player (stuff like complete a vault quest line, or spend 15 caps at one of the new fast travel points). Will have to try out a few more scenarios (tried the default Commonwealth one, which is pretty much the tutorial for the base game).
I had my first go with this over the weekend and thought it was too tough, but then right near the end, I pulled off a victory with the Captial Wasteland scenario.
It does fix a lot of issues with the base game and I think I'll be playing more Fallout now.

Postie wouldnít deliver my copy of MC because no one was in to sign for it (I thought they had given that up due to corona?) so wonít have it until Wednesday now!

Gives you a chance to watch a few games. Dale The Casual Gamer is a good channel for MC; I got a really good feel for the round sequence from Daleís content.

Same goes for his stuff on Arkham Horror.

Pretty much. You can keep signature/basic cards the same and just switch around Aspects. Did this with Spider-man/Captain Marvel aspects as a test and....yeah. Clever design. I donít like deck construction really, but that was really neat.

@Nemesis Dale is great. Probably the best.

Steve Kimmel is quite good as well. Different style (much more animated) but very passionate about it.

Picked up another Marvel game today, Crisis Protocol. 1v1 (mostly) mini game, because I clearly donít have enough of those already. Think I now own more Marvel games than I do Arkham Files ones.

@Nemesis I worry about watching these games as they story would get spoiled, no?

@Your-Mother I've got that too. It's actually a pretty slick little skirmish game, with some nice superhero touches and mechanisms. The minis are well done too. The Modok expansion mini is one of my faves.

I watched dale once or so, he rattles through a bit too quick I thought for a newbie To grasp. Where possible my favourite in general (solo gameís only though) is rolling solo. He has a great style at breaking things down as he goes I find and is engaging to listen to.

Dale flies through the game, but it gives a good feel for the round sequence when you need a refresher!

Love a Rolling Solo unboxing! Adam does it properly so you get a real look at components. Much better than the handheld camera celephane unwraps that drive me mad. Please buy a tripod. Please.

my red skull finally arrived. lots of content for the price, but I destroyed crossbones in 3 turns with Hawkeye. Was very easy. Maybe I got lucky?

The expert campaign is a really nice idea I didn't know about though. I think that's going to have legs. (persistent health across each scenario, you fail if you fail any fight).

Maybe for the Red Skull content, otherwise itís always pretty much mechanics. For Arkham Horror, yeah, itíll get spoilt. A bit.

The Red Skull story is virtually non existent and is told in comic pages between setup instructions, a playthrough video shouldnít spoil anything.
