'Salright.
About as good as a Dredd film could be to be honest. The problem is Dredd is a bit of a one note character and the way his face hangs is stupid in real life.
The action is all pretty well done, I just couldn't bring myself to care.

Shadow of the Vampire.
This is some weird film. Set during the filming of the original ‘Nosferatu’ in the 1920’s the cast are told that the lead actor Max Shreck(?) (Dracula) will at all times be staying ‘in character’ and will always be wearing full make up. But is it method acting or is he really actually like a real vampire?
Quite atmospheric and creepy. Definitely leaves an impression but cant decide if this was good or utter toss.

Some parts I loved, but there were massive pacing issues as well as not particularly good characterisation. I didn't really care whether or not Django rescued his wife, there was barely any emotion in any of the actions.
Some of the humour was hit and miss also, especially the 'can't see through the masks' scene. That dragged and was only really slightly funny. Jonah Hill being there was a big WTF. -
Melancholia
Because I waited til I was in the right place mentally to watch it I totally got it. I thought it was beautifully shot and Dunst, who normally really bugs the crap out of me, was actually very good. I could have just kept watching it after it had ended and could have bared for it to be an hour longer easily. I found it to be a very affecting film that I kept thinking about long after it was over.

I would be using spoiler tags if I were u. Glad I've seen it already or I would be pissed -
Yeah I love that film. Eddie Izard is really funny in it as well. -
Yeah, I don't think he can act really, but he was well cast for this. -

Brilliant, procedural thriller. I don't care about it's verisimilitude or lack thereof, its a stylish, very well acted and riveting movie. -

Total recall Remake (2012 Blu Ray Directors cut) 8/10
Okay I actually love this remake.
Like the casting Farrell, Biel, Beckinsale and Cranston.
Think the production design and FX were brilliant, its looks fanatstic
The directors cut adds around 12 min extra and a twist ending and the films better for it.
The only thing that lets its down is the PG13 gunplay

Yeah, I'm confused as to where the spoiler is in that quote. -

Fucking rubbish.
I now await film school types to explain to me why I'm wrong, but watching the extras it's apparent that the director and producer don't have a fucking clue what it's about either. -

- Mister Clean gets mouthraped by Cthulu
- That lady from that other movie performs a do-it-yourself abortion in a males only claw crane
- The token hard-working hard-smoking hard-loving captain talks about Weapons of Mass Destruction
- Charlize Theron gets run over by a space doughnut
Every character in this movie is a caricature. Every single line of dialogue is incredibly dumb. Nothing anyone ever does in this film makes any sense at all. It makes Alien 4 look like a good movie. I will give it one point each for looking and sounding nice. -
Real Genius - 8/10
Not sure how I missed this, nice spin on alienated kid goes to new school formula using genius kids working on university projects. Doesn't take itself too seriously and runs with it. -

Movie isn't great, but Daniel Day Lewis... He will win all the awards and will be the only person to win 3 oscars for best actor in a leading role (and in 3 different decades!). He is incredible, feel sorry for anyone nominated alongside him as they have no chance.
Also, Tommy Lee Jones was quality as well. -
Does he play Tommy Lee Jones?
Not that there's anything wrong with that of course -
