A PlayStation Classic is currently £15.99 if anyone is interested. I'd wanted one at launch, but bailed as the poor game list and emulation quality came to light.
However, for £15.99, and knowing it has been hacked to become a decent emulation box make it worthwhile for me. Hell, the two old school PSOne USB controllers are probably worth that.

Registered 4 years agoA USB OTG cable lets you power and insert USB things into the rear USB charging port & let's you keep the front USB's free for controllers. It is optional, though, you can use a hub, keep the USB stick plugged into port 2, or if you're really adventurous you can replace games on the internal memory. -

Registered 4 years ago@DakeyrasUK yep, something like that. I've bought a cheaper ebay one since they're not delivering the PS Classic until Friday. Like I said before, tho, completely optional. -

For anyone who wants to add games to the PSOne with absolute.minimim effort, I've seen these on both eBay and Amazon. Not that expensive (approx £25). You can't add games to them, but for your £25 you get a USB hub, the USB stick and 101 extra games (different packs ahve different games).
Of course, you could probably do better yourself, but for a small outlay it avoids any hassle. Put another way, for less than £50 you get a PS Classic with over 100 games. Worth considering...? -

Why not? Just checked eBay prices. Can get them for under £14, not £25. Some reviews on YouTube for them too. Meant to be a cheap hub and USB stick (as you'd expect), but it's a plug and play solution that, by all accounts, works exactly as you'd expect with zero hassle?
No
Not that it's hard to hack a PS One classic yourself, but it also saves mucking about with torrents and the like. -

Stop talking nonsense, I'll definitely not spend fuckloads of time haxxorizing the PSC and then just spend 30 minutes playing Rage Racer before getting bored, going back to playing my 3ds and never playing with the PSC again.

@mangojoe Contact customer services, they'll probably refund the difference. If not, as others have said, buy a new one and just return it under the old order reference. -

Registered 3 years agoWell this takes the piss, my mum's birthday today and ordered her a bottle of gin from Amazon, nephews birthday tomorrow so ordered him an Xbox controller.
They tried to deliver Wednesday but new rule for anything that you need to be 18 for they want photo ID, had left my wallet at work and despite clearly not being younger than 18 they refused to deliver it and would pop back today. No problem, will just have to remember my wallet.
Today's delivery attempt I was still at work, my fiance was at home though, and did have ID. But noooooo can't leave package with her as only the person who it is addressed to can sign for it. Which may cause another problem as I use a shortened version of my name for everything but my driver's licence has long name, so technically they can't deliver it to me either.
Need presents for tomorrow evening as that's the birthday meal and after an unexpected vet bill last week can't afford to buy anything else. And I can't cancel the order as it's out for delivery..... -

Or at least you did when I added the other half to my account. -
Yeah, you have to share payment details.
I am on Amazon Student and it doesn't allow you to do this.
