It's not that great. Well I didn't like it anyway and I'm a big GH fan. I hope you do.

Never tried it to be honest. But I struggle to find the time to play my real guitar these days, let alone learning to play a virtual one :(

    /has never played GH

Am I the only one? It's been played on The IT Crowd, got a mention on My Name is Earl yet I've never bloody played it. Too late now too - I don't even have the means :-(

    Can't wait!

However I'm away from Friday, and when I get back my Rock Band pack will be waiting for me, so there is a good chance it'll gather some dust :p

You've also preordered from Barnes & Nobles, haven't you? Have they shipped yours already? I'm getting restless..

Hehe...you're not alone. I'd get it if it weren't for funds being tight (ie I've never paid sixty-five pounds for a game before). Even if it comes with a wireless controller to rawk with.

I might get the solus for PS2 to save money and then get Rock Band. It looks more interesting.

Though I like the GH3 tracklist better.

Eh? It's not like they've changed much. As far I can tell the main game dynamics are pretty much the same.

    Got mine ordered.
I get to pretend to be John Squire?
    Worth the money itself.

Anyone ordered from PowerPlayDirect. I did and disappointingly it doesn't seem to have been despatched yet, and they're in Guernsey so it'll take a week to get here once it has. :-(

Note charts are completely different, lots more convoluted three note chord changes. HOPO system has changed and it has a bigger timing window. Apart from those minor changes it is identical ;)

Shopto came through once again :-)

Definitely another great entry in the series. The first tier of songs is a tad pap, but once you're past that there's a whole lot of good stuff.

Welcome to the Jungle is almost worth the entry fee on its own.

HOPO are far easier to do than previously - which is a massive bonus to me, although the last sections of Knights of Cydonia are still tangling my brains and fingers so that'll need more practice - I murdered it just before, which was a bit annoying as I'd been doing so well up till then :-(

Pleased to hear that. Never truly mastered HOPO consistently on GH2.

Does the game support the old PS2 guitars when connected via a PS2-to-USB adapter? If not, what options are there for a second guitar on PS3?

Is anone having problems with any of the buttons sticking? My green button has started to stick and i have to really push it hard then it is fine again. Not sure whether it is worth taking back. As it is OK most of the time but i dont want it to get worse. I also cant find my bloody reciept! :(

    +1

i think this is the way i'm gonna go as well, especially with the incompatability problems with guitars between Guitar Hero & Rock Band.

Loving this game, my first Guitar Hero so just been playing on Easy; its damn fun.

It is a shame that the guitar is not compatible with Rock Band - but tbh I have no interest in singing/jamming with friends; on the odd occasion we have folk round we can pass the guitar around whilst suitably pissed.

Is it just me or does the whole 'Rock Band' idea seem really niche? Maybe its cause we're more inhibited in this country but I just can't imagine taking part in the whole set up except when completely drunk.
